Positive Education (PEP)

Positive Education Program's (PEP) Prentiss Autism Center is a 33,000 sf. state of the art learning and training facility serving the needs of students, and teachers from the entire Cleveland metropolitan area. Completed in the summer of 2010, Krueger Grealis and Associates, in addition to identifying and representing PEP in the site selection, acted as construction manager for this $4 million renovation of a former office building located in Fairview Park, Ohio.

The Prentiss Center will attain LEED Silver status. From the beginning, careful consideration towards the student population and external stresses added to the background were taken while creating a sustainable and utility efficient building that takes advantage of the wide variety of green technologies. Some highlights include:

• Cutting edge daylight harvesting technology.
• Ultra-efficient HVAC systems chosen for low levels of noise emitted.
• Plumbing fixtures with water conservation abilities.
• Use of recycled building materials from within the site's region.
